Create While “U” Play!
TM

Children will be introduced to the fun of working with clay through manipulation, exploration as well as learning different techniques of making ceramic-ware such as, pinch pots, bowls, vases, jewelry, and coil techniques. More importantly the children will be given the resources to investigate, discover and experiment, collaborate and share ideas with peers, plan small group projects and execute. The children will also invent their own clay sculpture and master pieces through imagination and creative expressions.

Children will be introduced to mixed media drawing and painting. Drawing techniques consist of line, volume, and perspective using a variety of drawing materials. Painting techniques consist of color mixing, color naming, color gradation, brush handling, as well as water color painting techniques.

Children are not required to make permanent pieces, Only if they choose to. It’s not about the product but All about the process! Special moments of children at work will be captured and e-mailed to parents as a form of documentation and communication.
